For more than 50 years, the County has hosted the Annual Bergen County Art in the Park Show and Concert at Van Saun County Park, 216 Forest Ave., Paramus.

The art show and concert are free to the public and made possible in part by the NJ State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.

The next show is scheduled for Fall 2016, at Van Saun’s Lot 4, Area F near the historic Washington Spring Garden and the Bergen County Zoological Park.

Approximately 100 adult visual artists were featured at the October 11, 2015 event and represented the wide scope of artistic diversity found within the county. This juried show included five categories with cash prizes in each: Drawings / Prints / Pastels; Acrylics / Oils; Mixed Media; Watercolors; and Photography (Digital & Traditional). The awards are: 1st Place, $150; 2nd Place, $125; 3rd Place, $100; Honorable Mention, $75 and Best in Show, $500. The winners' work will soon be featured in the lobby of One Bergen County Plaza in Hackensack and will be open to the public during 8-5pm, M-F.

Hundreds of people and their pets enjoyed an afternoon in beautiful Van Saun County Park while admiring the work of North Jersey’s finest artists. Van Saun County Park is a wheelchair accessible site.
