Bucks County Genealogical Society meeting & presentation
"When Descendants Become Ancestors: The Flipside of Genealogy"
presented by author David A. Kendall, PhD.
Saturday, June 4th from 10 am to 12 pm
at the David Library of the American Revolution
1201 River Road, Washington Crossing, PA (entrance and parking in rear)

"Genealogy's main focus is on researching past lives, though accurate information is often sparse and unreliable. Our descendants will expect more from each of us. Will they get it? We have the literacy and the technology to convey every aspect of our lives so that they won't have to endure the painstaking and frustrating detective work that we have faced. We will all be ancestors someday. Do we not owe our descendants more than our birth and death dates, and a few other statistical details? We have not merely existed; we have lived! And we have the opportunity to teach future generations about those lives and our struggles and successes. We have all gained much wisdom through our life experiences - and each one is unique. We cannot rely on others to accurately share each life. Each of us must take responsibility for that. We will discuss the reasons for, and benefits of, writing short stories about each life and the obstacles each of us must overcome as we attempt to do so." - David A. Kendall, PhD.

Beginner's Corner with President Mary Butash begins at 9:30 as well as socializing with like-minded peers and browsing our genealogy store. Complimentary snacks available.

Admission: Members - $5, Non-Members - $10
Open to the public
