     Elizabeth Larkin immigrated circa 1848. From Famine Immigrants v.2: Arr. 14 June 1848 on the Courier in NYC from Liverpool, ELiza Larkin (spinster, age 24), Michael Larkin (30, Laborer) and Mgt. (Margaret) Larkin (12, spinster). According to her Death Certificate #2381, she came to US in 1849.2 She and Edward Callanan lived at 433 East 72nd Street, New York City, NY, (where the Cornell Medical Center is now.)1
     On April 15, 1887 she purchased 16 graves in Plot 202, Section 9 at Calvary Cemetary. By this time she had already lost her first son Edward in infancy, her only daughter Mary had died in 1865 at the age of 6, and her husband had drowned in the East River near their home in 1879. The latter two were reburied in Plot 202, which cost $800.00 at the time. The plot, marked only CALLANAN, by 1986 contained many members of the Callanan and Lavelle families. (See Calvary Cemetery.)1 Married name: Callanan.
