     Ellen Leeds was born in October 1838 at County Limerick, Ireland.¹ She married John Patrick Coughlin, son of Patrick Coughlin, in 1853 at New York City, NY.¹ Ellen Leeds died on 19 August 1914 at Hoboken, Hudson County, NJ, Hannah Coughlin was the informant.^1,2 Ellen Leeds was buried on 20 September 1914 in Calvary Cemetery in Woodside, An unsources note says she was buried in St. Patrick's Churchyard in NYC.¹

     Ellen Leeds immigrated in 1847 to New York City, NY.¹ Ellen was born in Ireland, perhaps Limerick. She immigrated to NYC in 1847 with her parents when she was nine years old. She lived in NYC. Ellen married John Coughlin when she was about 15 years old. In the 1900 census she claims to have had 7 children, but in searching the cemetery records I only found 5.
In the 1914(?) census she claimes to have had four children. This was how many living children she had in 1920, this included Hanna and possibly William (this William is not the same as her first born who died soon after birth). I think she had another child and named him William after her father). I found a William living in the same apt. house with Hanna in 1917 after her (Hanna's) husband died. Ellen lived with Hanna and James Mckeon after Ellen's husband died in 1892. Ellen Coughlin died in 1914. She is buried with John Coughlin in Calvary cemetery in NY.³ Married name: Coughlin.

     William Leeds was born at Ireland.¹ He married Cathrine (?) circa 1830 at Ireland.¹ William Leeds died circa 1895 at New York City, NY.¹

     The following info is not verified or documented. Catherine Leeds was found with William Leeds in the NYC directory. I am assuming this to be Ellen Coughlin's parents because Jack Gallagher and Joan McInerney (children of Marion Mckeon), said Ellen's maiden name was Leeds, and this family was the only Leeds listed in the directory. Also Ellen named one son William and one daughter Catherine, and tradition is to name the first and second child after the grandparents. I have William and Catherine in the directory until about 1895, they lived on 14th St in NYC. He was a hat maker, after that Catherine is listed as a widow. There is no record of her after 1908.²

     Gysbert Leek married Magdalena Brouwer.¹

     Abraham and Neeltje were baptized in Hackensack, Koert in Schraalenburgh.¹

     Alida Leeman was born on 11 January 1892 at Amsterdam, Noord Holland, The Netherlands.^2,1 She married Jan Hendrik Vermeer on 10 January 1912 at Amsterdam, Noord Holland.¹ Alida Leeman died on 5 March 1976 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home, New Shrewsbury, Monmouth County, NJ.^2,1 She was buried on 8 March 1976 in Garden State Crematorium in North Bergen.²

     Alida Leeman lived in 1971 at Wood-Ridge, Bergen County, NJ, in Hoboken en Weehawken before moving.³
The obituary of Alida Leeman appeared on 7 March 1976 in the Bergen Record (pg. C29, col. 2.)² Her parents were Andries Leeman and Sophia van den Berg.¹ She and Johan Vermeer immigrated on the Nieuw Amsterdam, from Rotterdam, arriving in New York on 12 Jan 1914. Their last residence was Rotterdam. Their contact in Holland is his father P. Vermeer, Alexanderkade 7, Amsterdam. They were going to New York, their contact is the Holland America Line, 21-24 State Street, NY. Three other HAL employees are travelling with them.^2,4

     Wopke Leentjes was born on 12 October 1885 at Sloten, Friesland, The Netherlands.^2,3,1 He married Jantje Schaper, daughter of Rein Schaper and Geertje Lunenburg.^4,1 Walter Leentjes died in 1956.¹

     Wopke Leentjes and Jacob Schaper immigrated on 1 May 1911 on the Nieuw Amsterdam, from Rotterdam (22 Apr 1911), arriving in New York on 1 May 1911. They were going to their uncle A. Faber in Ridgewood. Both listed their father as their contact in Holland. Jacob was from Balk, Wopke van Sloten.^5,3
1920 Fed. census: Household of Walter Leentjes, Orchard Street, Franklin Township, Bergen County, NJ. Household consists of Walter, his wife Jantje and three daughters: Jewel (7), Pauline (4) and Jesse? (2 + 7 mo.)¹ Walter Leentjes was a laborer.¹ Name variation: Wopke Leentjes.³

     Andrew LeFever was born on 4 August 1740 at New Paltz, Ulster County, NY.¹ He married Magdalina LeFever.¹ Andrew LeFever died on 23 November 1811.¹

     Eliza Bridget Lefever was born on 27 September 1804 at New Paltz, NY.¹ She married Benjamin Peters, son of William Peters and Margaret Hasbrouck.¹ Eliza Bridget Lefever died on 9 April 1874.¹
