Ellen Jane Tuers
F, b. circa 1826
Father | Cornelius Tuers1 b. c 1790, d. b 1850 |
Mother | Ellen (?)1 b. c 1798 |
Ellen Jane Tuers was born circa 1826 at Newark, Essex County, NJ.2
NOTE: James Turse had assigned the 1850 census entry both to Helen Jane Tuers and to Ellen Jane Tuers. However, it is clearly Ellen Jane Tuers: her mother's name is Ellen, and she has a brother John J (although his age is a bit off). However, Ellen Jane is still listed with her maiden name; the children are clearly Van Imburgh (which seems more reasonable than Vanenburgh). I have for the moment left the marriage with Helen, but put the census with Ellen only. See also the note with Ellen's brother John Jasper Tuers.3 Name variation: Ellen Tuers.

Helen Jane Tuers1
F, b. 29 December 1827
Father | Jacob J Tuers2 b. 12 Oct 1797 |
Mother | Margaret Bartholf2 b. 15 Jun 1804 |
See also the note with Ellen's brother John Jasper Tuers.3 Name variation: Turse.1 Married name: Vanenburgh.
