John Galloway was on 13 March 1715 apprenticed for 15 years to Peter Colvel. Colvel sold the remaining years of the indenture to William Dugdale and John Searle for 20 pounds in 1719. Dugdale and Searle were reapers of NY City and Galloway was 'well contented and doth give his full consent.¹' John's estate was valued at 10 pounds in the NYC tax assessmeny of Feb 1730.¹ He was in 1734 a ropemaker and described himself as a ropemaker.¹

She has six children with Thomas Coleman between 1789 and 1802. These have to be different people. A post on Genealogy.com has Thomas married to Susannah Mary Galloway, daughter of Alexander Galloway and Mary Shildrin, which seems to make much more sense. However, there is still a problem with the birthdate: Coleman Desc. has Mary's birthdate for Susannah Mary, which does not fit into the children of Alexander Galloway. While I don't think these two Mary's are the same, it is unclear who is who.^2,5,6 Married name: Little.
