     Lourens Andriessen Van Buskirk emigrated in 1654 from Schleswig-Holstein, Denmark.1 He was a turner and farmer.1 He lived at New Amsterdam and later in Bergen County.1 He was the first coroner of Bergen County as well as Justice, Magistrate and other offices.5 He and Jennetje Jans lived in 1662 on the west shore of the Hudson River.1 In 1686 Lourens purchased with others a large tract of land known as New Hackensack. He resided on this land as early as 1688.5
     There seems to be a bit of confusion about their death dates; she died about two years before her second husband. Her dates range from 13 July 1691 to 16 Jul 1694; his from before 19 Mar 1693 to 1 Jul 1694. The below cited website has her date as 16 Mar 1692 and his as 13 July 1694, both at Bergen County, New Jersey, both of them being buried at Constable's Hook, NJ.6 Name variation: Laurens Andries Van Boskerck.2 Name variation: Laurens Andriessen.2
