By an unrecorded deed, dated 22 Aug 1724, Claes Vreeland and Dirk Vreeland both of Acquackanonk, and Michiel Vreeland of Gemoenepa, conveyed to Enoch Vreeland of Acquackanonk, the island which had been granted to their father Hartman Michielsen Vreeland by patent of 6 Jan 1685 and the land which Hartman had purchased from Christopher Hoogland excepting such portions thereof as Hartman had disposed of. The land conveyed to Enoch was at that time in his possession.³

This may be the son of Jacob Vreeland and Marritje Vreeland (but no children were named after Marritje's mother, and he would have been 14 at his marriage.)^3,4 Another possiblity would be that he is a son of Johannes, as he names a daughter Gouda, but it seems more likely that Maria was Johannes' daughter. Also possible would be that he is a son of Enoch Joris. Enoch Joris does not have a son Enoch, but there is plenty of space for another child. However, hsi mother would likely be Cornelia Kip, and he does not name a child after her.

Enoch Joris Vreeland was born on 18 February 1741 at Bergen, NJ. He married (1) Cornelia Kip. (license on 18 November 1764.² Enoch Joris Vreeland married (2) Jenneke Mercelis on 10 May 1778 at DRC, Acquackanonck, Passaic County, NJ, (She was a widow.)¹
